On January 1st 2016 I played the Hokuala Golf Club with Matt Brostowitz from Aurora, Illinois and Mike Conlee from Oswego, Illinois.  These were my kind of lads, we did have fun.

Matt and Mike … Mike and I might buy our shorts at the same place.

We only played the ocean nine because the front nine is still closed while the greens recover from the Bermuda decline.

The ninth green is looking better. The front nine is scheduled to re-open on January 4th.

Only nine holes, but if they are the ocean nine at Hokuala, there is enough spectacular scenery to put smiles on everyone’s faces.

My driver worked well this day, still these lads were 20 and 30 yards past me on each hole – youth.  However, I did birdie the 16th hole (yes, I’m bragging) and they celebrated with me.

This was another fun day on the golf course.  It was the way golf should be.
