Mini Post: Deck Rebuild –
By Wayne Halm –
It was time to nail down the deck planks. Yeah, it rained … I just worked through it, I was running out of time.
I thought the nailing would go quickly – boy was I wrong! Here the working alone thing really slowed things down.
The deck planks appeared to be fairly straight, but it turned out not straight enough. Each one had to be bent slightly to keep the seams consistent.
Bending a 2×6 requires a bit of force. I’m sure there is a nifty tool for doing this. However, I didn’t have it … so I made one.
Progress was slow, I just kept after it. Gradually results mounted up and I grew happy with the outcome.
I didn’t think my speed impressive, but the results made me happy.
Check back tomorrow and see if I am still happy.
Then — Come play golf with me.
