Mini Post: Deck Rebuild –
By Wayne Halm –
It had to happen sometime, it is winter on Kauai.
You can do a lot of things in the rain – but staining a deck isn’t one of them. The rain only lasted fifteen minutes. That was enough, it soaked everything.

With the wood wet finishing the staining will have to wait for another day.
.
I should have foreseen this happening and had something else setup to work on. But I didn’t – rookie mistake!
However, one of the nice things about Kauai is that the Sun will come up tomorrow. Check back then and see if I make any progress.
Then — Come play golf with me.

It is a good time for a break. You earned it. I do not see any snow….how can it be winter?
Cheers

Aloha Jim,
Hahaha – yes, I guess ‘winter’ does mean different things to different people. One morning a few years ago it got down to 58 degree F here, we all pulled out jackets. I’ll be back to work when things dry.
A Hui Hou,

Coming along beautifully!!!
Aloha Donna,
Thank you. The sanding and staining appears to slow things down. At the end of the day things don’t look all that different from the beginning – and it is more sensitive to the weather. But you know all that, and still compliment my work. What a girl!!
A Hui Hou,
