Mini Post: Deck Rebuild –

By Wayne Halm –

Sally was happy with my progress yesterday! So happy that she insisted I take the day off and play golf.  I resisted but she prevailed.  (Pause for a moment and imagine how hard she had to twist my arm.)

I played the Ocean Course at Hokuala – that is the new name for the Kauai Lagoons Course. Sally enjoyed watching me play and she walked along satisfying her FitBit.

Sally – The trade winds were blowing strong that day.

Sally got a new silver “Torrey Pines” bracelet for her FitBit. She is proud of that.

Wait … Sally corrected me … Evidently I had the wrong tree … It is a “Torey Birch” bracelet.

.

My scoring was everything I feared it would be (93).  Tired?  Toned up?  Something.  I flubbed more shots than usual.  But I was golfing on Kauai, and that is hard to beat!

Tomorrow it is back to work on the deck.  Check back and see what happens.

Then — Come play golf with me.

  1. Aloha Wayne,

I’m glad to hear Sally convinced you to get back on the links! You’ve been working hard on the deck which I can only imagine takes a lot out of a guy. I wouldn’t worry about the score. I know you still had fun, and that is the important part. Good luck on your next phase of the deck tomorrow!

    Cheers
    Josh

    • Aloha Josh,

It did feel good to be back on a course. I did have fun! A couple of nasty slices came from somewhere, and my eyes kept wandering off the back of the ball – but that is golf (for me anyway). Back to work tomorrow and we’ll see what adventure I have there.

      A Hui Hou,
      Wayne
