Round Played: with Wayne and Sheila Ogawa –
By Wayne Halm –
Between the Storms –
On August 30th 2015 I played the Kauai Lagoons Golf Course with Wayne and Sheila Ogawa from Sacramento, California. My wife, Sally, joined us and this was a great day – we all needed to get out.

We slipped this round in between storms. Hurricanes Kilo and Ignacio did not hit us but caused some muggy rainy days. Hurricane Jimena is projected to pass north of the islands – we’ll see what it brings.
.
Even between the storms the sky looked ominous as our round began. But we were hungry for golf and pushed on.
.
.
I’m going to blame the recent stormy weather – my game was off – I was rusty – I didn’t score well.
.
And out by the ocean we had fun. The sun and the smiles came out. You bet I took pictures of it.
.
.
.
We finished the round happy golfers. I won’t brag about the scores, but we did have more laughs than putts. And that is good, it’s the way golf should be.
.
Come play golf with me.
I have played with other people from Sacramento, click here to see who.

Aloha Wayne,
I was getting worried about you and considered sending out a search party, I’m glad you got out for some golf! Hopefully those storms pass so you can get out there more often. Life is better with your uplifting golf tales. Glad you had a good day.
Cheers
Josh
Aloha Josh,
I appreciate your concern. Really I’m fine, just spoiled – I’ve gotten used to one perfect day after another. But hey, let’s use this as an excuse. Come “search” for me anyway. We will get in 3 or 4 rounds before you “find” me.
A Hui Hou,
Wayne
I like how you think my friend. Come to think of it I haven’t seen a Mai thai in a while either. Will search for some of those as well.
Cheers
Josh
Haha, I love this! I would say it was ok to blame the storms 😉
Aloha Hanne,
Thank you, it’s always fun to hear from you. I think we were just glad to get out on the course. Living on a small island in the middle of the ocean “rock fever” is always a concern, but I think I had a case of “cabin fever”. The hurricanes have been crazy this season.
A Hui Hou,
Wayne
