Round Played: with Greg and Karen Stanovich –

Great People + Great Weather + Great Course = Great FUN
On May 21st 2015 I played the Kauai Lagoons Golf Course with Greg and Karen Stanovich from Fairfield, California. Sometimes it all comes together, great people weather and game – this was one of those times. (Click on the pictures for a larger view – then use the browser ‘back’ button.)
Great playing partners – Greg and Karen are awesome fun. Greg has a booming drive that lands a long way down the fairway. And don’t discount Karen, her drives are not a ‘showy’ but the results are frequently the same. (“The same” being 20 yards past mine.)

Great weather – A few clouds tempered the Hawaiian Sun and gentle trade winds kept the warmth away.
Clouds were more frequent in the morning.

But the clouds started clearing soon.

And only the occasional cloud remained most of the round.

Great Game – I struck the ball well on this day. There were some doubles on the card (But they were on the more difficult holes) – and there was a birdie also!
84 is an excellent score for me – I was happy.

Even the pictures came easy this day. These two were not only willing, they were photogenic. Smiling for the camera wasn’t a problem – we smiled and laughed all day.

To highlight the round, the baby Kauai Chickens came out to watch us – so cute. This was a fun day – it was the way golf should be.

Thanks Wayne. We enjoyed your company and another round at Kauai Lagoons as well. You are a wealth of local information and a great storyteller (without slowing the pace of play ⛳️).
It’s so nice to have pictures of both of us in all the best photo op spots 🌴 on the course. We’ll be sure to look you up the next time we’re golfing in Kauai.

Nice shooting my friend! Based on the scorecard, that course can play as a real beast! A good score is a nice bonus when having fun with nice people on a great day.

Thank you. It was a fun day. The course is a Nicklaus design and “long and straight” serves a player well. And I did manage to keep my focus better on that day.
