Memorial Day – May 25, 2015 –
.
Years ago my country called – I answered and carried a rifle for a while. Nothing special about that – it is just what Americans do. Still, a day is set aside to remember that type of service ….. but that day is not today!
Today, Memorial Day, is a time to remember those who did more – those who gave their lives in the military service of our country.
If you wish, you can thank me on Veterans Day. However, today I ask you to pause and remember and thank those who died serving in the armed forces of our country.
They deserve more, oh so much more – but it is what we can do.
Thank you William L Cunningham – Thank you very much!
so true – but I am proud of all our troops and heroes who gave all for us…
Well said.
Aloha Jimmy,
Thank you. I do feel strongly that Memorial Day should not be diluted.

Well stated…
Aloha Jonathan,
Thank you. While the difference between Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day is quite clear to me, the distinction eludes many.
