Back-to-Back BIRDIES — Yeah I’ll brag –
On February 22nd 2015 I played the Kauai Lagoons course with Sally and her co-worker Sergio Meza. John Ellis from Lees Summit, Missouri joined us.
This day I decided to try another Driver. I was determined but it just wasn’t working. It pulled – it sliced – it dribbled down the fairway – finally I just threw up my hands in surrender and pulled out my 4-iron.
Using the 4-iron it became “take the 200 off the tee and finish the hole.” This both improved my mood and gave me time for pictures.
With my disposition repaired, I joined in the FUN Sergio and John were already having – we got into the picture thing.
On the 16th tee I made everyone stop for pictures. It really didn’t take much convincing, we were all having a good time.
We finished 16 with two pars and a birdie. Here are pictures of the par-guys. A group came up behind us and I didn’t get a picture of the birdie-boy.
Then we came to the par three 17th hole. With a slight Kona wind behind me I hit this green with a sand wedge – with the normal Trade wind blowing in your face this shot can require an 8-iron.
On the 18th tee we had the laugh of the day. Sergio absolutely crushed his drive right down the middle. But an extra ball fell out of his pocket during the swing.
Sally didn’t see his drive, but she heard it and looked over at the ball rolling across the tee box. She interrupted our cheering and said, “Guys, the ball is right here – it wasn’t a very good shot.”
This was another fun round – everyone walked off the course smiling with stories to tell. It was the way golf should be.
Come play golf with me.

This was such a fun day!!! Lots of laugher, advice, and I had a great deal of coaching to do with these Gentlemen. My favorite was #17 when Wayne made a birdie!!! You would have thought I was the Cheerleader that I wanted to be back in High School. But i did a lot of coaching!!
Aloha Sally,
And you are good at Coaching and Cheerleading! Your high school missed out – but we were glad you were working for us. It was fun.
A Hui Hou,
Wayne
Wish I was there. Very snowy week in Denver.
Aloha Deonne,
Yes, I’ve been seeing pictures of all of the snow. I wish you were here too. You and Vic stay warm.

Aloha Josh,
Thank you – I admit, the birdies did push my mood up over the top. But I was on a golf course and my mood was already pretty high.
