Round Played: with Jackie Garces –

By Wayne Halm –

Does size matter? –

On January 17th 2015 I played the Kauai Lagoons course with Jackie Garces from Wailua, Hawaii.  I would recommend this to anyone.  (Click on the pictures for a larger view – then use the browser ‘back’ button.)

Jim This and Sue Girsch from Olympia, Washington joined us for the front nine, they are great people.  The four of us did something special – we made the par three 5th hole FUN.

The Tee shot on the 5th hole is intimidating.

Here are three of the four players who PARED this hole! Yes, the 4th is behind the camera.

Replace the pin Jackie, we are done here – Oh yeah!

Sue and Jackie continued their ‘smiling ways’ onto the 6th green – Jim and I might have been wearing ‘worry frowns’ as we viewed our putts.

Can you tell who is walking onto the green for yet another par putt?

Obligations forced Jim and Sue to stop at the turn – but Jackie and I continued on to the Ocean.

And Jackie continued with her par putts – She didn’t make them all, but she seemed to have more than I did.

After the three ocean holes, Jackie and I approached the famous ball hungry lagoons (holes 17 and 18) a bit nervous.  But we walked away from them smiling.

Neither of us put a ball in the water – a big reason to smile.

So – does size matter?  Not as much as fairways and greens – and nowhere near as much as the number of putts.  Small women can have small scores.

Come play golf with me.
