Round Played: with Ray French –

By Wayne Halm –

Just a couple of Good Old Boys.

On November 6th 2014 I played the Kauai Lagoons course with Ray French from Houston, Texas.  Ray’s wife, Mary, rode along with us.

Playing golf on Kauai just brought out the Southern Boys in Ray and I.  We really were just a couple of Good Old Boys out to have a good time.

The good time seemed in jeopardy on the front nine – our putters demanded attention.  They wanted to be used – used a lot.

Ray -- By the 4th green we had pretty much given up on making any putts over two feet.

However, by the time we got over to the ocean our putters seemed to have had their fill – they began to allow one and two putts.

The scenery can be distracting near the ocean.

With the better scores the Good Old Boy grins came out – it was time for some pictures.

Ray found the secret - chip it close.

Ray and Mary - Notice that the 'one-putt' smile is still there.

Wayne -- He thinks two-putts are pretty good too.

This was a fun round.  We worked through our putter issues and finished the round once again friends with our putters.

Ray and his putter -- I think he calls it 'The One Iron' now.

The Good Old Boys did it – they had a great time on the golf course – that’s the way golf should be.

Come play golf with me.
