We didn’t play – but – still had a good time.

On October 9th 2014 Kenneth Kimura, Golf Operations Manager, and I showed travel writer Matt Ward of Clifton, New Jersey the Kauai Lagoons Golf Course. (Previously I had erroneously reported Matt’s hometown as Rutherford.)

The day started with breakfast at Kukui’s Restaurant in the Marriott Hotel. We spent the better part of a light-hearted hour discussing the future of golf.

Then we hit a few balls on the range. Matt has a big powerful, confident swing. It put me to mind of Lisa Vlooswyk.

We didn’t have time to play but toured the course instead – after seeing Matt’s swing, this probably saved me some embarrassment.

But playing or touring, Matt and Kenneth were with me – and there were going to be pictures.

Even if we didn’t play, we were out on the course and had a great time. Matt is not only a travel writer – he is a great conversationalist.
