On September 3rd 2014 I played the Kauai Lagoons course with George and Donna Johnson of Littleton, Colorado. This was not the best of days – nature “watered” the course for about 15 minutes. We just waited it out under some hedges – George’s stories came in handy.

After the watering we moved on in fine fashion – the watering does make things green.

George even posed by the Octopus plant so you could see how it is doing. We were having fun.

By the time we got over to the ocean holes the “watering” was a fading memory. The sun was out and smiles were abundant.

We accepted the Jack Nicklaus challenge and pushed the shot making envelope – right up to the edge.

On the greens it was no contest. In spite of the sand, Donna was deadly and George just kept dropping them.

If I said we brought the Golden Bear to its knees that would be an exaggeration. But we did worry the beast.
